The body of customs officer Abdul Ahad, who was kidnapped from Chittagong six years ago, has been recovered in Chhagalnaiya, Feni. Police identified him using a bank check found in his pocket, which Uttara Bank authorities confirmed belonged to Abdul Ahad.
He was discovered unconscious in front of the Chhagalnaiya Upazila Health Complex on Wednesday morning. Locals rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police reported no visible signs of injury on the body. Initial investigations suggest he may have died of a stroke. The body has been sent to Feni General Hospital for an autopsy.
