HSC and equivalent exam results were published today, and among the students was Junaid Amin of Notre Dame College, who tragically passed away on September 27 after drowning while visiting his uncle’s house. His father, Morshedul Amin, learned of his son’s GPA-5 result on result day at the college and broke down in tears.
Speaking at the college, Morshedul Amin said, “My son went to visit his uncle’s house. While boating with friends, he drowned in the river. No one could save him. He was an excellent student, with no faults. He dreamed of studying abroad after completing his intermediate. Now he is gone—my everything is gone.”
Notre Dame College Principal Dr. Father Hemonto Pius Rosario also expressed condolences, saying, “We are aware of the student’s death and have coordinated with hospital authorities with full sincerity. He was a brilliant student, devoted to his parents, and actively involved in college clubs. We extend our deepest sympathy to his family.”
