Fake news spreads on social media: Mushfiq R Farhan is alive and well

Popular actor Mushfiq R. Farhan was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka after falling ill, with reports circulating that he was moved to the ICU on Friday night due to deteriorating health. However, his uncle, Mustafizur Rahman Mamun, clarified on January 4 that the ICU admission was for extra precaution, not because his condition was critical. The actor's condition has improved, and he was moved to a general cabin later that afternoon. Director Taufiqul Islam added that Mushfiqur's illness was caused by a drop in blood pressure, not requiring ICU care, as initially reported. Mamun explained that the actor had been experiencing fever and body aches for a few days, initially suspected to be dengue, but was later diagnosed with viral fever. He is expected to return home soon.
