Failed students protest in the secretriate for fair HSC results, 53 arrested

A group of students entered the Secretariat on Wednesday around 2:50 PM, demanding the re-publication of this year's HSC and equivalent exam results, as well as corrections to associated errors. The students assembled in front of the Secretariat and began chanting slogans. Personnel from the Bangladesh Army and other law enforcement agencies present urged the protesting students to cease their chanting and participate in peaceful discussions. They were arrested around 4:30 PM and taken away in two police vans.
