Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company PLC (BSCCPLC) announced on Saturday (November 30) that internet services will be briefly interrupted for about 3 hours on Sunday night (December 1). The disruption is part of scheduled maintenance on the country's first submarine cable system (SMW4) in Cox’s Bazar. The maintenance is set to take place from 3:00 AM to 5:59 AM on Monday (December 2), affecting the cable system near the Chennai Landing Station in India and the Tuas Landing Station in Singapore. "Services through circuits connected via SMW4 from Cox’s Bazar to the Chennai and Singapore routes will be temporarily interrupted during this time," the press release stated.
