Former Minister and Awami League Advisory Council member, Amir Hossain Amu, has been remanded to police custody for six days for questioning in connection with the murder of businessman Abdul Wadud, as per a case filed at New Market Police Station. The order was issued by Dhaka's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court on Thursday. During the hearing, a group of lawyers allegedly attacked Amu's defense lawyer and forced him out of the courtroom. Earlier, the police had presented Amu in court, requesting a 10-day remand. In their petition, they stated that Amu, who is named as an accused in the Abdul Wadud murder case, needs to be questioned in custody to uncover further details of the crime.
