Eggs thrown at Indian BJP leader Munirathna during a public event

Eggs were thrown at Bengaluru’s RR Nagar MLA Munirathna, who was recently granted bail in a rape case. The incident took place during an event in his constituency. As Munirathna was heading towards his car, accompanied by police and security personnel, unknown individuals hurled eggs at him and fled. A video of the attack has gone viral on social media, showing the MLA being escorted to his car right after the incident. Munirathna was later taken to the hospital. He accused the Congress party, specifically DK Shivakumar, of planning the attack, alleging it was an attempt to harm him. Speaking to reporters, Munirathna said, “This incident exposes the Congress party’s intent to kill me. DK Shivakumar cannot accept his brother DK Suresh’s defeat in the Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha elections, and this attack is part of their malicious plot.”
