During an inspection of the Dhaka–Sylhet Highway and its traffic situation, Road Transport and Bridges Ministry Adviser Major General (Retd.) Ahmed Shameem Al Hasan got stuck in a heavy traffic jam. To continue his visit, he left his car and hopped onto a motorcycle to reach Brahmanbaria’s Sarail intersection around 1:30 PM on Sunday.
The adviser was on his way to inspect the progress of the four-lane highway expansion project. Severe traffic congestion caused by the ongoing construction work forced him to abandon his vehicle. Local residents were reportedly surprised to see the adviser traveling on a motorcycle in the scorching heat to continue his inspection.
