Dhaka University students staged a midnight protest demanding the resignation of Home Affairs Adviser Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, accusing him of failing to control crime and terrorism nationwide.
The protest began at 1 AM in the university’s hall area, with students marching through various halls before gathering at the Raju Memorial Sculpture. They chanted slogans like "Resign, Jahangir" and "Ensure safety for women or leave office."
A protester stated that rising incidents of snatching and other crimes prompted their demand for the adviser’s resignation, emphasizing his failure to ensure public safety.
