A student of East West University, Kzi Santo, has brought forward serious allegations against Professor Mohammad Intisar Alam, widely known as "MISA"—a guest faculty in the BBA Department and Associate Professor of Marketing at Dhaka University. According to Santo, the professor demanded costly gifts in return for allowing him to retake a missed midterm exam and securing an A+ grade for the semester.
Santo stated that after he missed the exam, the professor first asked for a perfume and later pressed him to buy two premium perfumes worth around 30,000–32,000 taka each. The matter intensified when the professor allegedly followed up on WhatsApp, telling Santo to keep everything confidential.
At first, Santo thought the remarks were made in jest, but during the final class, he decided to secretly record the conversation, where the professor can be heard repeatedly making the demands. He later made the incident public.
