Habib Rahman, a graduate of Dhaka University, made the deliberate decision to decline an opportunity to join the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) after being recommended for the Postal Cadre in the 44th BCS exam. Instead, he has chosen to follow his passion by building a career as an agricultural entrepreneur. Habib’s interest in agriculture has been a lifelong one, coupled with a strong desire to work independently and make a meaningful impact. Originally hailing from Cumilla, he completed his early education in Dhaka before earning an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA). Habib firmly believes that entrepreneurship, especially within the agricultural sector, provides a more sustainable and ethically fulfilling career path.
Before fully committing to his entrepreneurial ambitions, he briefly worked at Krishi Bank but decided to leave that position to focus entirely on his own ventures. Currently, he is actively engaged in experimental projects designed to reduce Bangladesh’s dependence on imported agricultural products and to boost the country’s agricultural exports. In addition to his hands-on agricultural work, Habib also manages a widely followed online platform called “Join English.” This platform not only supports his agricultural research but also contributes to the operations of his brand “Rupai Agro,” under which he intends to dedicate himself full-time in the near future.
