DHAKA, May 26, 2025 (BSS) – Dhaka University (DU) authorities have announced special admission privileges for family members of those martyred or injured during the historic student-led uprising in July-August.
These benefits will apply to the admission process for the first-year undergraduate program for the 2024-2025 academic session, according to a DU press release issued today.
The decision was made recently at the university’s deans' committee meeting.
Under the new policy, spouses, sons, and daughters of the recognized martyred or injured individuals will be eligible for these special facilities. In the absence of a spouse or children, the benefits will be extended to the victims’ siblings.
