On Thursday, December 26, the Police Forensic Department examined the fire-damaged Building No. 7 of the Secretariat. During the inspection at 12:30 PM, a dead dog was discovered on the eighth floor and was taken to the forensic department. Sarjis Alam, Chief Coordinator of the National Citizens Committee, questioned the fire's origin, saying, "The fire started in two rooms about 100 meters apart. This is unusual because fires typically spread gradually from one area. However, these two rooms are linked to the uprising's supporters." In response, the Cabinet Division has formed a seven-member committee, led by Additional Secretary Mohammad Khaled Rahim, to investigate the incident. The committee has been tasked with submitting a report within seven working days.
