Dictator’s Portrait Being Prepared for Noboborsho Rally

A portrait of the fallen dictator is being crafted at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, to be displayed at the upcoming NoboBorsho rally. The portrait is being made using bamboo. On Tuesday, former and current students of the Faculty of Fine Arts were seen working diligently on the creation of the artwork. Sculptor Mahmudul Hasan, one of the main artists involved in the project, shared that this year’s New Year theme is "Unity of the New Year, End of Fascism." When asked about the concept behind the large portrait, Dr. Azharul Islam, the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, explained that the New Year celebration committee, along with current and former students and teachers from the faculty, had collectively decided to showcase such a portrait.
