In January, beauty Renu Sarker (29) from Moulvibazar, Sylhet, traveled to India for medical treatment. The MBBS graduate went to Delhi’s Apollo and Gurgaon’s Medanta Medical Hospitals for advanced care. However, she was unable to recover and returned home in April. Sadly, her body began to swell severely soon after.
During the Puja celebrations, she went to her uncle’s house in Moulvibazar. While there, she sought treatment at North East Medical College Hospital after experiencing intense pain on Sunday evening.
Family members reported that Renu’s condition worsened rapidly, and she passed away around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday. According to family sources, she had been suffering from a uterine tumor. After returning from India, her health declined further, with her body swelling continuously. Despite repeated treatments, her condition did not improve.
After learning about her death, grief spread among family, relatives, and friends. Her body was taken to her home in Moulvibazar’s Purbabhag area, where funeral arrangements were made according to family traditions.
