Clashes between students of Dhaka College and City College repeatedly broke out in Dhaka's Science Lab intersection area, leaving over 150 Dhaka College students injured. In response, the Dhaka College Teachers' Association has called for the relocation of City College from the Science Lab area. On Wednesday (November 20), the Teachers' Association Secretary addressed the issue at a press conference held at 6:30 PM in the Dhaka College auditorium, representing the college administration. AKM Rafiqul Islam, the Secretary of the Teachers' Association, stated, “Over 150 students and one teacher sustained injuries during the clashes. Proper treatment for the injured must be ensured. It is deeply concerning that the army attacked and vandalized Dhaka College premises. Senior administration officials responsible for this incident, including the on-duty police officers who ordered the assault, must be held accountable and resign.” He further remarked, “Previously, violent students from City College were found guilty of causing unrest. To prevent future clashes, City College must be relocated. Additionally, teachers from City College who directly participated in or ordered this disgraceful incident must face legal action.”
