Faiyaj, the brother of BUET student Abrar Fahad, has revealed that death row convict Muntasir Al Jemi escaped from prison. He stated that although the escape happened after August 5, the family was only notified recently.
On Monday evening (February 24), Faiyaj took to Facebook to share the news, expressing his concern, "A death row convict should be in the condemned cell—how did he manage to escape? The delay in sharing this information suggests no serious efforts were made to capture him."
He also pointed out that three other convicts were already on the run. In the closing part of his post, Faiyaj listed Muntasir Al Jemi’s name, along with the names and address of his parents.
