Bangladesh national team pacer Taskin Ahmed has been accused of physically assaulting and threatening his childhood friend, Sifatur Rahman Sourav. According to the complaint, Taskin allegedly asked Sourav to meet him in the Mirpur-1 area on Sunday, July 27. During the meeting, Taskin reportedly punched him and issued threats, leaving Sourav injured and visibly shaken.
Later that night, a General Diary (GD) was filed against Taskin at the Mirpur Model Police Station. While no official statement has been released by the authorities, a police source confirmed to the media that a complaint had indeed been filed and that an investigation is underway. The source also noted that Taskin and the complainant have been close friends since childhood.
