A Feni court has sentenced Jasim Uddin, who killed two mother dogs and their nine puppies on Shanti Company Road, to feed 15 dogs for three months instead of imprisonment or a fine. On December 26, Senior Judicial Magistrate Aparajita Das issued the verdict, granting him probation under strict conditions. Jasim Uddin, who confessed to the crime, must care for and feed the dogs, submitting reports with photos to the court through the district livestock officer. Advocate Shafiqul Islam Piyas confirmed this was the first animal cruelty case in Feni. If Jasim Uddin fails to comply, further legal penalties may be imposed. The incident occurred on February 4, and a case was filed on April 1.
