Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “The era of dictatorship has ended. Now, together as Muslims, Hindus, Christians, and Buddhists, we want to rebuild our beloved country. InshaAllah, when the country is governed based on the principles of the Quran, Bangladesh will transform into a garden of paradise.” He further stated, “The people of this country will live in peace and harmony. There will be no discrimination in human life. Extortion will cease to exist. There will be no land grabbing. Bribery and corruption will be eliminated. Party-based governance will no longer bring suffering to people. Our movement will be successful on that day, InshaAllah. Until that day, I urge everyone to continue our fight, struggle, and efforts.” He made these remarks during a brief roadside gathering at Sahapur Natun Haat intersection in Ishwardi Upazila, Pabna, on his way from Natore to Kushtia at 7 PM on Friday. The Jamaat Ameer further added, “Our children are chanting slogans about Abu Sayeed & Mugdho & the fight is not over yet. Until the people of this country attain true freedom, our struggle will continue. May Almighty Allah help us. May He protect Bangladesh from internal and external conspiracies.”
