Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Hasib Aziz has instructed that any armed terrorist spotted should be shot on sight (brushfire). He stated that his directive will not remain mere words.
At noon today, the Commissioner verbally issued this order to all police personnel on duty across CMP’s stations and outposts via wireless communication.
Acknowledging the instruction, the Commissioner said, “Yes, I have given my officers such an order. As you know, on August 6, 7, and 8, 2024, police weapons were looted from various stations in Chittagong city. We cannot be certain that these weapons haven’t ended up with terrorists or are not being used for criminal activities.”
