Over 30 celebrities have joined a video message for tonight’s ‘Together For Palestine’ fundraiser concert, organized by Brian Eno. The video features actors, musicians, and activists—including Cillian Murphy, Billie Eilish, Sharon Horgan, Chris O’Dowd, Joaquin Phoenix, Penélope Cruz, and Malala Yousafzai—each expressing solidarity by saying “together for Palestine” in various languages such as English, Irish, Spanish, Urdu, and Arabic.
‘Succession’ actor Brian Cox delivers a message, saying, “We have to tell the truth on behalf of the people of Palestine.” American activist Nan Goldin adds, “It’s always been the artist’s role in society to speak out, to risk speaking truth to power.” Steve Coogan stresses urgency: “It’s important to speak out now, not when this is over.”
The video highlights the ongoing conflict and urges international action. Coogan continues, “Right now, while it’s happening. Pressurise your government, lend your support to those peacefully campaigning, call for a ceasefire, stop the killing.” The initiative gives celebrities a platform to advocate for peace and a ceasefire in the region.
