Christian Student Wins Quran and Islamic Knowledge Contest Hosted by Shibir

At Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, a remarkable and inclusive event was held under the initiative of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, where a Christian student named Pavel Rosario was honored for his exceptional performance in the 2025 Al-Quran and Islamic Knowledge Competition. The competition was divided into three categories, including a specially designed segment for non-Muslim participants. Among 21 contenders in that category, Pavel stood out as the top performer, earning recognition for his dedication and knowledge. The award was presented during a seminar titled “Challenges of the 21st Century and the Youth Mind,” which was attended by distinguished guests and a large number of university students. Expressing both surprise and gratitude, Pavel shared that he had initially joined the competition out of personal interest, not expecting to be awarded, and appreciated the welcoming and inclusive nature of the event.
