On Monday, during a meeting with Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar, Advisor to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen emphasized the need to include the Chinese language in Bangladesh's primary education curriculum. He highlighted China's substantial investments in the country and discussed expanding cooperation in education and other sectors, expressing a strong interest in strengthening bilateral ties in educational development. Dr. Poddar acknowledged the historical relationship with China and sought its support in improving primary education through vocational training to address unemployment. As the Primary Education Development Project-4 concluded, he urged greater Chinese participation in PEDP-5. The Chinese ambassador reaffirmed his country's commitment to collaboration through initiatives like South-South Cooperation and showed interest in forming new partnerships. Senior officials from Bangladesh's education ministry and the Chinese embassy also attended the meeting.
