A nearly 700 kg albino buffalo named “Donald Trump” has become a viral attraction in Narayanganj due to the golden-colored hair on its head, which many say resembles the former US president’s hairstyle.
The pink-colored buffalo is being raised at Rabeya Agro Farm in the city’s Paikpara area, where crowds of visitors have been gathering to see the animal, take photos, and interact with its calm nature.
Farm owner Ziauddin Mridha said he bought the buffalo from a cattle market in Rajshahi around 10 months ago. According to him, his younger brother jokingly gave it the name “Donald Trump” after noticing the unique hair on its head.
He described the buffalo as extremely gentle, adding that albino buffaloes are usually peaceful unless provoked.
The buffalo has already been sold at Tk550 per kg live weight and is expected to be handed over to its new owner next week.
Visitors who came after seeing videos on social media said the buffalo’s facial features and hairstyle closely resemble Donald Trump, making the name even more fitting.
Farm caretaker Kawser said the buffalo receives special care, including four baths daily and a diet of corn, oil cake, bran, rice husk, and fresh grass.
Farm authorities also said they have prepared around 200 cattle for Eid-ul-Adha this year, with nearly all already booked by buyers.
