The Central Library of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has been renamed the “Shaheed Abrar Fahad Library (শহীদ আবরার ফাহাদ লাইব্রেরি).” A photo of the library displaying the updated name has recently spread on social media. Abrar Fahad, a second-year student of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department at BUET, tragically lost his life after being tortured by Chhatra League leaders and activists. The horrific incident took place at Sher-e-Bangla Hall during the early hours of October 7, 2019. His death has since sparked widespread outrage and calls for justice.
