Abrar Fahad’s younger brother, Abrar Faiyaj, shared his frustration on social media regarding the recent political slogans and procession led by Nasiruddin Patwary on the BUET campus.
In a Facebook post, he wrote, “Today’s apolitical BUET campus was achieved at the cost of two lives and through the tireless efforts of hundreds of students who set aside their own careers, working day and night. I don’t know if Nasiruddin Patwary bhai knew that BUET is not a place for political programs. I also don’t understand what he hoped to gain by coming here. It will take a long time to fully realize the damage he has caused.”
He added, “Visiting to pray is, of course, fine. But after prayers, any slogans or processions can be held at any mosque in the country!”
