A British medical team has arrived in Bangladesh to treat students injured in the July-August protests. They will be providing care at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) from November 5 to 18. On Tuesday, November 5, the British High Commission in Dhaka announced the arrival of the UK Emergency Medical Team (EMT), funded by the UK government, following a formal request for assistance from Bangladesh's interim government. The High Commission noted that the team includes an orthopedic surgeon, a physiotherapist and rehabilitation specialist, and a clinical coordinator, who will work at NITOR during this period. The clinical experts have extensive experience treating patients in conflict-affected regions worldwide.
