Brave Constable Risks His Life, Jumps Into Titas River to Rescue Woman

A police constable in Brahmanbaria risked his life to rescue a 24-year-old woman who entered the Titas River from a bridge on Tuesday night. Constable Amit Hasan immediately jumped into the river and swam toward her, eventually bringing her to safety with help from a boat. She was later taken to Brahmanbaria 250-bed General Hospital for treatment. Police said family and marital problems may have led to the incident.
