The doctor’s announcement left the woman’s family devastated. Eventually, on February 24, the family decided to take her home for the last rites. Her husband, Kuldeep Kumar Shukla, said that at the time Vinita was not breathing, although her heartbeat was still extremely faint.
While they were taking her home in an ambulance, the vehicle hit a large pothole in the Hafizganj area on the Bareilly–Haridwar Highway near Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh.
Right after the sudden jolt, Vinita unexpectedly started breathing normally again. Her family members were stunned by the moment and immediately stopped all preparations for her funeral. She was then rushed to Neuro City Hospital, where doctors conducted further examinations and began fresh treatment.
Kuldeep Kumar said, “The doctors had told us there was no hope. I had already called home and asked my family to start preparing for the funeral. On the way, our ambulance suddenly jumped after falling into a pothole. Right after that, my wife’s breathing returned to normal. I informed my family immediately and rushed her back to the hospital. She defeated death.”
A doctor at the hospital later said that after the necessary tests and proper treatment, the woman’s physical condition improved rapidly, and within a day she recovered significantly.
According to her family, after returning home she is now speaking normally and continuing her recovery.
