According to the annual human rights report of Ain O Salish Kendra (ASK), 34 Bangladeshis were killed by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) in 2025. Among them, 24 were shot dead and 10 died after being physically tortured. ASK data show border killings numbered 30 in 2024, 31 in 2023, 23 in 2022, and 18 in 2021.
In addition, reports published by New Age said that at least 12 Bangladeshis were killed in 2025 by Indian nationals—mostly Khasiyas—along the India–Bangladesh border in the Sylhet Division.
