BNP Chairperson's Advisor, Abdus Salam, stated that the BNP will come to power regardless of when elections are held. He made this remark at the Mohanpur Upazila BNP council meeting on Sunday (December 22). Salam clarified that the BNP is not desperate for power, contrary to allegations from the interim government. He emphasized the BNP's commitment to elections and noted that despite having the chance to form a national government with other opposition parties on August 5, they chose not to. Salam also asserted that the next elections would take place without the Awami League. He accused the Awami League of being influenced by India, claiming that India has significantly impacted the country's election process over the past 15 years. He further mentioned that efforts are being made to bring the Awami League back to power, though their return depends on legal proceedings.
