BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury announced today that if the party forms the government, it will allocate 10 percent of the GDP—5 percent each for health and education. “We have made two clear commitments: 5 percent of GDP will go to health and 5 percent to education,” Chowdhury said. The former commerce minister shared these remarks at the 3rd Bangladesh Economic Summit 2024, which focused on "Inequality, Financial Crimes, and Healing Bangladesh's Economy." The event was organized by the Bangla daily Bonik Barta at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.
