BNP leader Advocate M A Majid distributed sewing machines to 82 women in Harinakundu, Jhenaidah, as Eid gifts in celebration of Eid ul-Fitr. The distribution event took place on Tuesday morning (March 25) at the Priyanath Secondary School field in Harinakundu town. Several key figures attended the event, including District BNP Vice President Enamul Kabir Mukul, Harinakundu Upazila BNP President Abul Hasan Master, General Secretary Taijul Hossain, and Municipal BNP General Secretary Zinnatul Haque Khan, among others.
Advocate M A Majid, who also serves as the district BNP president, stated that the sewing machine distribution was part of an initiative aimed at empowering women in the region. The machines were provided to women from eight unions and the municipal area of Harinakundu, with the objective of making them self-reliant. Through this initiative, new employment opportunities will be created for 82 families, contributing to their financial stability and overall well-being.
