Two BNP Leaders Expelled in Jessore for Looting Fish from Jamaat Leader’s Vehicle
Two leaders of BNP in Monirampur, Jessore, have been expelled over allegations of looting fish from a Jamaat leader’s vehicle. The expulsion was confirmed in a press release on Monday (January 20) by District BNP Member Secretary Advocate Syed Saberul Haque Sabu. The individuals dismissed are Mahabubur Rahman, a member of Nehalpur Union BNP, and Rajib, a member of Ward BNP. As per the release, they are banned from participating in any party activities.
Local reports revealed that the accused were identified through CCTV footage following the fish looting incident last Saturday. Khalilur Rahman, General Secretary of Nehalpur Union BNP, confirmed that the money from selling the stolen fish had been recovered and returned to its rightful owner. Advocate Saberul Haque Sabu stated, “The party has firm instructions to take action against those who violate discipline. Following the recommendation of the Upazila BNP, these two leaders were expelled.”
