BNP has announced the organization of a Victory Concert on December 16 at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital, to commemorate Victory Day. The announcement was made by BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie at a press conference in Gulshan on Tuesday (December 10). The concert is being organized by the newly-formed social and cultural organization 'Sabar Age Bangladesh,' under the patronage of BNP. Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie stated, "For the past 15 to 16 years, Bengalis have not been able to properly celebrate Victory Day. The celebrations were largely suppressed due to the oppression and repression of the Awami League government. Therefore, special initiatives have been taken this time to unite the nation for Victory Day." He further added, "On December 16, we will present ourselves to the people of Bangladesh and the new generation with renewed hope. Local artists will perform at the Victory Concert, including bands like Nagarbaul, Souls, Arc, Different Touch, Sonar Bangla Circus, and Avoid Rafa. The concert will be open to all." The press conference was attended by Sultan Salauddin Tuku, Rashiduzzaman Millat, SM Jilani, Nurul Islam Nayon, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, Ehsan Mahmud, and Zahid Rony. It is notable that the organization officially launched under the name 'Bangladesh First' at this event, which was initially formed through BNP's initiative.
