BNP's acting chairman Tarique Rahman is currently looking for a rental house in Dhaka, according to UK BNP President MA Malik. He revealed this information during a recent conversation with journalists.
MA Malik stated, "Tarique Rahman does not own a house in Dhaka city. If he wants to stay here, he will have to rent one. He will return to the country very soon. However, I can't give an exact date right now, as the party will have a specific policy regarding his return. Tarique Rahman will also have his personal opinion on the matter. I can't compel him—what we can do is make a request. The people of Bangladesh are eager to know when he will come back. Once he sets a date, I’ll share it with everyone."
During the discussion, MA Malik also remarked, "Tarique Rahman’s father didn’t leave a single house for him in Dhaka city. Sheikh Hasina once mocked in Parliament about Ziaur Rahman's torn suitcase and ripped undershirt. Begum Khaleda Zia used to live in a house full of Ziaur Rahman’s memories, but she was evicted from that residence. Later, an apartment was constructed on that site and taken over."
