Biman Bangladesh Airlines has reached a historic milestone by exceeding Tk900 crore in monthly sales for the first time. In November 2024, the national airline reported Tk908 crore in sales, excluding Hajj operations. BSP channel sales accounted for Tk715 crore, while online sales grew to Tk52 crore. A senior official told the Dhaka Tribune, "Biman's profitability is driven by efficient management and strategic initiatives." As of June 2024, the airline recorded a net profit of Tk282 crore, with Hajj operations contributing Tk823 crore to total revenue. Managing Director and CEO Dr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman stated, "We are focused on strengthening high-performing routes and expanding services to maintain this positive growth." Biman currently holds a 22% market share in Bangladesh's aviation sector.
