Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), with active support from local residents, successfully foiled an attempt by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) to push around 750 Indian nationals into Bangladesh through the Brahmanbaria border in Bijoynagar upazila. Based on midnight intelligence reports, BGB increased their patrol activities and alerted nearby villagers, who quickly gathered at the border carrying loudhailers and sticks. The Indian nationals were reportedly assembled at the Agartala border by the BSF for the attempted crossing. Due to the joint vigilance of BGB and the locals, the situation remained under full control. BGB personnel continued to maintain high alert in the area to prevent any illegal entry or smuggling attempts.
