The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced that women cricketers will now receive the same daily allowance and tour fees as their male counterparts. The decision was revealed by BCB Women’s Wing Chairman Abdur Razzak, following recent talks about financial inequality between the men’s and women’s national teams.
Previously, male players were paid a total of USD 115 per day during overseas tours—USD 75 as daily allowance and USD 40 as tour fee. Under the new policy, women cricketers will now receive the same amount.
According to the BCB Women’s Wing, this decision was finalized in the recent board meeting chaired by BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul and former Vice President Nazmul Abedeen Fahim. The initiative is aimed at ensuring equal financial benefits for both male and female players in terms of tour and daily allowances.
