Bangladeshi astrophotographer Zubuyer Kaolin has captured a remarkable image of the Orion Nebula from his rooftop in Dhaka, using a self-made telescope crafted from locally sourced materials. Built with PVC pipes, a 102mm aperture lens, and a unique focusing system controlled by a motor, his setup enables clear, detailed photos of deep-sky objects despite Dhaka's challenging light pollution. Zubuyer’s passion for astronomy began in childhood, and his engineering skills allowed him to develop a high-quality telescope. Today, he shares his work and knowledge with aspiring astronomers, aiming to inspire others while raising awareness about light pollution. His journey combines technical innovation with a deep commitment to exploring the universe and preserving the night sky.
