Bangladeshi Couple Tragically Drowns and D*ies While Saving Daughter at Australian Beach

A Bangladeshi couple, Shahidul Hasan Swapan and Sabrina Ahmed Papri, tragically drowned while attempting to rescue their daughter, Siyana, from the sea at Walpole Beach in Perth, Australia. The family, visiting for the Christmas holiday, was enjoying the beach when a strong wave swept their daughter into the water. Despite saving Siyana, the parents were unable to save themselves. The bodies of the couple were recovered by local police. Shahidul, a PhD graduate from Curtin University, worked as an associate professor in urban planning. The incident has deeply saddened the local Bangladeshi community.
