Art maestro Zainul Abedin's masterpiece has set a new record in the international art market, with a painting selling for an impressive US $692,048, or around 82 million taka. This sale marks the highest price ever achieved by any Bangladeshi artist. Abedin's "Untitled" artwork was auctioned at Sotheby's "Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art" event in London on September 26. The piece, created using ink and wash on paper, was originally a gift from Abedin to Cedomil Plazek, a hydrogeologist who lived in Dhaka while working for the United Nations.
