Bangladesh has been ranked as the top performer in Hajj management among South Asian countries for the year 2025, according to a list released by the Saudi government. Bangladeshi pilgrims who have returned home expressed a high level of satisfaction with the overall arrangements, praising the smooth, well-organized experience and reporting no major complaints. As of June 15, approximately 21,000 pilgrims from Bangladesh had already returned from Saudi Arabia. The Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) noted that both the Saudi and local phases of this year’s Hajj were carried out in a highly organized and efficient manner. HAAB leaders credited the collective efforts of all involved for the achievement and pointed out that the number of deaths and untoward incidents had declined compared to previous years. According to their report, 27 Bangladeshi pilgrims died during the Hajj, and around 30 are currently undergoing treatment in hospitals.
