In the first 12 days of October this year, Bangladesh received remittances totaling 986.66 million USD (98 crore 66 lakh 40 thousand) through legal channels. This equates to approximately 11,840 crore taka, based on an exchange rate of 120 taka per dollar. On a daily basis, this averages to about 82.19 million USD in remittances. This information was disclosed in an updated report released by the central bank on Monday, October 14. An analysis of the central bank's data reveals that, during this period, remittances included 245.6 million USD from state-owned banks, 44.8 million USD from a specialized bank, 693.6 million USD from private banks, and 2.64 million USD from foreign banks.
