Bangladesh's passport is now the 7th weakest in the world, ranking 100th in the 2025 Henley Passport Index, alongside Libya and Palestine. This marks a drop from last year's 97th position. Bangladeshi passport holders can access 40 countries visa-free or with visa-on-arrival, down from 42 in 2024. In South Asia, the Maldives leads at 53rd, followed by India, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka, while Nepal and Pakistan rank lower at 101st and 103rd, respectively. Singapore holds the top spot with access to 195 destinations, while Afghanistan remains at the bottom with access to just 26 countries.
