The interim government of Bangladesh has officially declared two politically significant dates — Abrar Fahad’s death anniversary on October 7 and BDR Massacre Day on February 25 — as national observances to be commemorated every year. The announcement came on Monday (October 6) through an official Facebook post by the Chief Adviser’s Office.
As part of the observance, a documentary titled “You Failed to Kill Abrar Fahad” will be screened at all Shilpakala Academies nationwide at 7:00 PM on Tuesday (October 7). Abrar Fahad’s father is expected to attend the main screening in Dhaka, which marks the sixth anniversary of his son’s tragic death.
