A newborn baby was delivered on the MV Bogdadia-8 launch while it was traveling from Chandpur to Dhaka. The incident occurred on Sunday evening when a passenger named Sadia Akter was en route to Dhaka for medical treatment. According to the launch’s clerk, Md. Dipu, the MV Bogdadia-8 launched from Chandpur at 5 PM, heading toward Dhaka Sadarghat. As the launch neared Dhaka, Sadia Akter began experiencing labor pains on the lower deck. The crew quickly assisted her, taking her to a cabin, and at 7:31 PM, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. In honor of this joyous occasion, the launch owner, Hamidullah Suman, announced that the newborn would receive a lifetime of free travel on the launch.
