The ten-story central office of the Awami League in Gulistan is currently in a state of disrepair. The building has effectively become a 'public toilet,' with an unbearable stench making it difficult to pass by. Since August 5, most of the furniture and belongings have been removed from the inactive office. Burnt papers, broken glass, and discarded drug bottles are scattered across the building's floors. Local rickshaw puller Solaiman stated, "All the furniture from the building has been stolen. Some people are still cutting the rods from various parts of the structure." Locals report that the building is now being used as a hub for anti-social activities, with the ground floor functioning as a public restroom.
