Members of a Hindutva association attacked and vandalized the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala on December 2. The attack followed a protest rally against the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh and the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das. The rally, organized near the Gandhi statue, was followed by a delegation submitting a memorandum at the High Commission. During the protest, the activists entered the office, took down and tore the Bangladesh national flag, broke the signboard, and set it on fire. A female member of the group claimed it was in protest against the alleged persecution of Hindus and the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das. Police intervened and brought the situation under control. High-ranking Tripura Police officials later visited the site to investigate.
